Chrome extension
Veritas Fact Checker, the browser extension. Last updated 30 October 2026.
Only the text you choose to check: a selection, the article on the current page, or text you paste into the side panel. It is sent only when you ask for a check. It goes to the Veritas server, which extracts the factual claims and searches sources to check them.
No browsing history, no page content you haven't asked to check, no account details, and no analytics or tracking. The extension can't read a tab until you use its icon, its right-click item or its keyboard shortcut on that tab.
To check claims, the server may send the text to an AI model provider to find and assess claims, and search queries built from the claims to search providers. Source links in results open the original publishers' websites.
